CURRENT EXHIBITs

The Charlotte Street Arts Centre (CSAC) is pleased to announce its latest exhibition of the summer season featuring new paintings by Fredericton-based artists Pascal Leo Cormier and Kristal KC Cormier. Surrealism and portraiture combine to form the basis of this husband and wife exhibition.

“I’m honoured for the opportunity to share work by both of these artists as part of our summer exhibition series,” said Matt Carter, executive director of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. “The elements of curiosity and wonder both Pascal and Kristal convey through their work make this exhibition an ideal show for a community arts centre like ours where audiences of all ages can access and enjoy this exhibition.”

Pascal Leo Cormier is originally from the Northern New Brunswick community of Robertville. As a young adult he relocated to Moncton where he began his professional journey as an artist. This exhibition highlights his frames-within-frames approach to creating, a method based on the idea that there is always more to what we are looking at, and that something is always looking back at us.

Kristal is a painter and portrait artist originally from Victoria, British Columbia. Before obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University, Kristal attended Vancouver’s Emily Carr University of Art + Design and studied privately in both Canada and Germany.

New Works by Pascal Leo Cormier & Kristal Cormier will be on display in the Charlotte Glencross Gallery between July 24 -September 2, 2025.

The Charlotte Street Arts Centre galleries are open 9-8 p.m. Tuesdays - Saturdays. Admission by donation.
