Uplifting, heartwarming, hilarious and inspiring, with enough Christmas fun to fill Santa’s sleigh! Multi award-winning Singer-Songwriters MIKE BIGGAR (Saint John NB) and TERRA SPENCER (Windsor NS) are on tour this holiday season, joined by the Sugar Plum Boys stage band with ‘SONGS OF THE SEASON’ 2023. Performing previously at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John NB to the delight of his hometown crowd, Mike welcomes long time friend and acclaimed artist Terra Spencer to hit the road together, sharing the musical joy of the yuletide all around the East Coast.

SONGS OF THE SEASON evolved from Biggar’s ECMA award-winning holiday album THE SEASON. The show features many of his acclaimed, original holiday songs, inspiring carols and standards of the season, all playfully arranged in his noted soulful, bluesy roots styling. Hailing from Windsor Nova Scotia, Terra Spencer is known for charming audiences with her deft guitar, gospel piano, butterscotch voice and sly humour. She offers a heaping helping of her own seasonal favourites and original holiday music, wrapped in her armchair humour and disarming warmth. Terra has received the Music Nova Scotia ‘Folk Recording of the Year’ award and nominations from both the East Coast and Canadian Folk Music Associations. Her song ‘Feels Like Home’ was named the 2021 Blues & Roots Radio International Song of the Year, and in Summer 2023 she was awarded top prize in the Commonwealth Songwriting Contest for her song ‘Bricks and Mortar’, rising above almost 20,000 other applicants. Together the pair join their voices for much-loved holiday duets inspired by the magic of vintage TV Christmas specials of yesteryear. With lots of impromptu antics, hilarious stage banter, knock down musical fun and Christmas revelry, SONGS OF THE SEASON runs the musical gamut and decks the halls with holiday smiles and laughter all around!
