On Saturday May 16th Jim Gilbert's Wheels and Deals PowerSports will be presenting former NHL Athletic Trainer and Vancouver based standup comedian Brian Patafies FUNNY AS PUCK Tour 2026 at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in Fredericton. Just over four years ago Brian finished a forty four year career as an athletic trainer in professional hockey including almost twenty years with the Calgary Flames in the NHL. Brian kept notes not only during his storied hockey career but also during his dysfunctional upbringing in a military family. He turned those notes into a standup comedy routine and has shared not only his hockey stories but his dysfunctional life stories all across North America as well he was the featured act on a multi city, multi show tour of the United Kingdom in October 2022. Currently Brian has been touring North America since May 2025 having brought his FUNNY AS PUCK show across the continent and back again.
