Restorative Pilates & Movement

This gentle, yet challenging, low impact and fun class will offer exercises seated in a chair and standing. It is intended for adults starting out or returning to a movement class after a break and those who may have some mobility issues.  Individuals who have difficulties with getting down and up from the floor are most welcome to join.

Based on the Pilates principles of breath, control, concentration and precision, participants will be guided to practice mindful movements that will promote spinal alignment, joint mobility, good posture, improved balance and strength. Learn to move with greater ease and confidence.

Prior Pilates experience is not required.

Please Note: This is a safe for all, post-rehab class. If recovering from an injury or condition please get permission from your medical professional to participate in a gentle movement class.

Dr. Zsuzsanna Szabo-Nyarady is a lifelong dancer, movement educator, university lecturer, Pilates, yoga and dance teacher.  Her background includes extensive training in dance, BFA in modern dance from York University (Toronto) and studies at various studios, including the School of Toronto Dance Theatre (Toronto), The Martha Graham Studio (New York), The Laban Institute of Movement Studies (New York), and others. She has taught dance, yoga and Pilates at St. Thomas University. 

Refund Policy: Any registrant who cancels their registration 10 or fewer days prior to the start date of the class/workshop will forfeit a $50 cancellation fee. The remainder of the registration cost will be refunded. No refunds will be issued once the program begins.
