Making A Basket From Your Garden

In this one-day, beginner-friendly workshop, participants create their own hand-woven basket using locally foraged plant fibres.  

Part of the experience will be learning about the plant fibres in use, their names, how to collect them, process, store, and prepare them for weaving as well as important aspects of environmentally sustainable collection methods. 

All materials necessary for this workshop are provided; however, students are asked to bring scissors, measuring tape, spray bottle if you have one, and a tea towel. Although not necessary, students are invited to bring any plant fibres or other textiles to incorporate into their own basket.Please bring your own lunch.

Cost: $175

Refund Policy: Any registrant who cancels their registration 10 or fewer days prior to the start date of the class/workshop will forfeit a $50 cancellation fee. The remainder of the registration cost will be refunded. No refunds will be issued once the program begins.
