Fredericton’s River Jam once again struck the perfect chord between community spirit and local talent, raising funds allowing them to donate $5,000 to the Charlotte Street Arts Centre during its annual celebration held on July 4th at The Delta Fredericton.
Now in its third decade, River Jam continues to shine as a unique tradition where all performers donate their time and talent in support of a cause that uplifts Fredericton’s arts and music community. This year’s proceeds will support much-needed upgrades to the Charlotte Street Arts Centre’s in-house PA system.
“We are so grateful to receive this generous donation from River Jam 2025,” said Matt Carter, Executive Director of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. This will go directly towards much needed upgrades to our in-house PA system that will not only benefit the Charlotte Street Arts Centre but the many community partners and clients who use our facility to host their own events. Thanks to River Jam, we'll be starting the fall season off sounding our very best!”
The event was a multi-stage celebration of local music, featuring 18 incredible acts across five stages, ranging from acoustic performances to full band showcases. River Jam’s success is due in large part to its devoted community of artists, volunteers, and partners.
This year’s event also honoured two individuals who go above and beyond in support of the local music scene. The Tony George Award, which recognizes a local business leader who champions the arts, was awarded to Zach Atkinson of The Cap. The Diane London Award, which honours a woman who gives back to the music community with exceptional energy and spirit, was awarded to Sherri Chenard. Both awards provide a $500 honorarium and serve as a reminder of the vital roles that businesses and individuals play in nurturing Fredericton’s cultural life.
River Jam 2025 would not have been possible without the support of JEM Productions, the entire team at The Delta Fredericton, and an incredible lineup of sponsors and partners. Heartfelt thanks go out to Marwood Ltd, Targetts Windows and Doors, Bounce and Move FM, Picaroons, Encore, Bella Hospitality, and Get Off The Bus Concerts for helping make this magical night possible.
As the last notes rang out and the crowd cheered, one thing was clear—River Jam remains a powerful reminder of what happens when community, creativity, and generosity come together in harmony.
